A Real Peckerhead

Amazingly enough I'm not going to write about any of our elected officials....this time.  My mind is still too boggled over the election results and the future that is promised by the current crop, on both sides of the aisle.  Al-Qaida must be laughing their collective barbaric asses off as the Conservatives pat themselves on the back and the rest of us get our genitals patted in the TSA lines.

No, I have pictures of a couple of REAL peckerheads....two individuals who really deserve the appelation, and have been doing some damage to my property as well.  Two Pileated Woodpeckers.

But the tree was already dead so it was actually no loss.  Neat to watch them fly around though, they are very large birds, largest of the woodpeckers.

While I was shooting the aforementioned peckerheads, I spotted this little guy going past.
