Found out while doing this one that selecting B&W in Lightroom only affects the original file, not the adjustment brush.  I'd already colored her eye and it stayed colored when I switched to B&W, surprised the hell out of me.

Recovery from surgery proceeding well.  Going for an auto excursion this afternoon, ending at Barnes & Noble for books and cheesecake.  Life rarely gets better than that.
