More Falconry...........

Same Renaissance Fair, same bird as on yesterday's post.  the object on the left is the lure, it is being slung in a circle around the falconer and this hawk is coming in really fast.  I was shooting at 1/640 sec and there is still motion blur in the bird.

On an entirely different subject....

iPhone Photo of hot tub

Went out to do my weekly maintenance on my hot tub this AM and found one set of jets had departed their normal location, you can see the hole on the left.  Although nothing appears broken, the retaining tabs are not holding.  I replaced it, felt the tabs engage, turned on the jets and watched it float gracefully out of the hole. I have emailed "hot tub service", just waiting to see how much this costs.

Soft Landing

They do falconry at Renaissance Fairs also, this is from one almost two years ago.  Closest to a naked chick I felt like posting today.

Trying to improve my meager Spanish for an upcoming trip.  Luckily I have a few weeks.  Unluckily, I'm not very good at it, it's been about 50 years since my high school Spanish class.

Luckily not a nude.....

Lucky for him too, that is VERY hot glass he is working with. Taken at a Renaissance Fair in South Florida a couple years ago.

They showed good sense........

They didn't seat me on a jury.  Good thing was the judge said it was "one and done", I did my service and didn't have to go back.

Harbor Light at Grand Marais, MN

Can't be naked women all the time.  This was from a recent trip to, among other places, the North Shore of Lake Superior and Gunflint Lake, MN.  Did not see the rays on the color image but they appeared on the black & white conversion.

I am doing my "civic duty" today; probably reading books on my iPad and listening to music on my iPhone while sitting on a metal folding chair in an over air conditioned room with a couple dozen other trapped citizens. If anyone has seen "Waiting for Godot" they can visualize what I expect the day to be like.

On the plus side, I get $15 per day.  On the minus side, more than $10 of that will go for gas and more than the rest on wear & tear on my truck.  It's a 40 mile round trip.

I think somebody just pointed to this Blog so I thought I should put something here to look at.

Jury Duty tomorrow so this burst of activity could be short....as most bursts are.
